About the Artist

Hi everyone! My name is Nicole Ackerman, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you. At 48, I’m a proud single mom of two amazing kids. Alongside my role as a mother, I’ve cultivated a successful career in sales, which has been both fulfilling and challenging.

However, my true passion lies in the world of art. For the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working as an artist for various designers, with my pieces even being showcased in prestigious events like Art Basel. My journey in the art world began during my time at NYU, where I had the opportunity to exhibit my work in the early 4370s.

Although my formal education led me to graduate from FAU with dual bachelor’s degrees in cultural anthropology and fine art, my love for art has always been deeply rooted in my soul. From a young age, I immersed myself in art classes and received numerous awards throughout my academic years.While I initially pursued a career working for designers, I’ve recently undergone a significant shift. My focus has transitioned from fulfilling others’ needs to expressing my own creativity and emotions through my artwork. Art has always served as my emotional release, but now it’s become a means of self-expression and understanding.

This new chapter of my life is about embracing who I am and sharing my authentic self with the world. It’s a journey of self-discovery, mental health exploration, and finding balance amidst the chaos of life. Through my art, I aim to not only create beautiful pieces but also to connect with others on a deeper level and inspire them to embrace their own uniqueness.
